Last Friday up by the Clayton Windmills I saw a young Peregrine, harassing a couple of Buzzards, seemed to be no real intent to it, just for kicks, flexing it's superiority! Even stooped at one point, first time I've seen one do that for ages! Pictures are horrible due to distance,light and incompetence but they give a flavour of the action!

You can just make out the streaking rather than barring on the breast making this a youngster, though it could be a subadult, last year's youngster, but it's quite hard to tell from the pics, though it's likely due to it's mastery of the air, not sure this year's birds would be quite up to attacking Buzzards yet! |

Fun to watch and difficult to photograph but an enjoyable couple of minute!!
