Patch Woe!

The Decision not to go to Hassocks to see the Waxwings was probably a mistake, instead I had a wander around the Patch off the Albourne Road. After the last poor visit I said "never again" and I should of stuck with it!!😰😂 Very quiet, Thrushes probably the best of it, with Redwings, Fieldfares and Song Thrushes in small numbers about my route. Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Green Woodpecker and Great Spotted Woodpecker all noted, but none of em showed particularly well. Nuthatch and Bullfinch heard but not seen, two Long-tailed Tits and two Chaffinches about the best of the rest!! A few pics below!!

Fieldfare

Song Thrushes were several running about over the fields

Having been spoilt by the friendly ones at Pulborough Brooks on Thursday this one was much more shy.

Though I like these silhouettey shots!

Flyover Fieldfare, most of the birds seen today were flying away!

Having been spoiled by the posy birds of Pulborough Brooks last Thursday, was much harder work today!!!!! Still nice to be out in the fresh air and if it was easy, everybody would be doing it!!!
