Cornwall Day 4 Eden!

Today we had booked up to go to the Eden Project, meeting up with my Brother Adrian and his wife Hazel who were also, coincidently, holidaying  in Cornwall, this would turn out to be the only day of the Holiday with any decent movement of large Shears going past , with 4000+ Corys going through Pendeen, which quite frankly is blooming typical, the old Birding Gods are defo winding me up at the moment😡!!!

Still can't be helped and we had a very nice day at the Project, I must say I found it all a bit weird, obviously educational, especially on climate change and the damage we are doing to the planet, while at the same time planting a host of non-native plants in the Cornish Countryside!!😱 I'm presuming, hoping, they know what they are doing and nothing will be invasive!! They even had, in the Jungle Biome, birds and lizards running free, I'm hoping they're bio-security is reasonable but the presence of a Robin and two Blackbirds in the dome, suggests maybe not!!!  We basically spent the day wandering about taking pictures of things that took our fancy!!

Nearly as big as some of the buggers we've had in our house last couple of days (M)

This large Blue Thing was my favourite experience of the visit(M)

Margie realising that her Cacti on the window sill at home have away to go!

Not sure what this was about, what with the giant blue thing and these, think maybe the designers may be on something!

It was a nice walk around and very interesting on the whole and we saw a Bullfinch on the feeders!! With queues at the food stalls, although I managed to get a couple of bars of chocolate and a bottle of cider from the shop, we decided to have lunch in a local hostelry, all very pleasant!! Adrian and Hazel headed off and we decided to head to Stithians Reservoir where some interesting waders had been reported!!
Was on the way back to base, we went to the wrong end to start with but relocated to the appropriate Causeway, and soon were enjoying views of a Spotted Redshank, a Wood Sandpiper, a Green Sandpiper, a couple of Snipe and a Little Stint!!!
