Shoreham Stroll

In the past we would base our walks on where the best birds were, nowadays we base them on where it will be the least muddy and the likelihood  of me falling over can be reduced, the joys of getting old!!😁Which is how, yesterday,  we found ourselves wandering along the river bank at Shoreham. Birdwise was fairly quiet, Gulls featured heavily! Though a couple of Little Egrets showed well, Skylarks singing over the airport was nice to hear, but it was all very gloomy and misty!! A few of our pictures below, Margie doing the landscapes and the "interesting stuff"!

The tide was out on arrival

Lesser Black-backed Gull

We didn't see what had spooked the Gulls

The Tide was coming in as we left

A flock of Turnstones took to the air as the Tide covered their island

A couple of Oystercatcher flew down the river!

An enjoyable stroll, especially if you like Gulls, which I do! gave them a good grilling in the hope of something exotic without success!!
