We decided to head down to the Lizard for our last day. Typically this was completely wrong for the wind direction!! Still we had a nice wander, some Wheatears and close encounters with Seals the highlights. Though as with much of our trip the scenery stole the show!

Dancing Wheatears |
Leaving the Lizard we had a lovely walk to Kynance Cove, another beautiful area.!
Probably some intricate Tai Chi move! |
Chough tormented me throughout flying from side to side!! Even when we climbed the cliff they flew across to the other side! |
Rock Pipit |
We climbed these! |
Contemplating the wonder of nature |
Another showy Wheatear |
More beasts! though fairly docile |
Nice cafe at the end where we had an Ice Cream, no Gluten Free cones again! |
Magnificently Rugged! The scenery's not bad either! |
The windiness of this holiday, whilst having slightly negative effect on spotting small birds has lead to some epic wave action, which I've enjoyed watching and trying to get pics of!
Eventually the Choughs relented and a couple landed reasonably close, then gave an awesome aerial display right over our heads!
A fitting end to our holiday, though on the way back to base, Margie demanded a decent Cornish Pasty we eventually found a place, The Cornish Oven and they did Gluten Free ones!, Hurrah!! Though we had to cook it ourselves, boo!! They were absolutely lovely!! Hurrah!! they also did Gluten Free cakes, which were also delicious! Hurrah!!
We had a great time in Cornwall, bird wise we always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!! Generally due to an inability to get up early and messing up wind directions, that said we saw some excellent birds!! The scenery and the waves were also impressive!! The boat trip will live long in the memory, mainly through gratitude we survived it!!
