Weirwood

Having dropped Margie off in Lindfield for her works Christmas Dinner, I thought I'd have a wander up to Weirwood Reservoir in the hope of adding Mandarin to my year list, sad I know, what was worse I never found one!!  Nice to bump into Alistair and Bob doing a WEBS count as well! Bird wise, the highlight was a Barn Owl that Alastair picked up flying across the Reservoir. Brief views of a Kingfisher, some active Pochards and Tufties , but most of the action was on and around the Feeders, with Marsh Tits, Coal Tits and Long-tailed Tits among the highlights, though some were harder to get pics of than others some pics below!

Marsh Tit, not a fan of feeder shots, but the blooming Marsh Tits didn't hang around!

Pochard

Grey Heron

Black-headed Gull

Great Crested Grebe

Barn Owl

Treecreeper showed well, though as per usual spent most of the time around the back of the trunk!

Great Spotted Woodpecker

Little Egret

Long-tailed Tit, best i managed at the reservoir, though on my return home there was a flock of 8 on our Feeders, pictures below!

Blue Tit, possibly with a gammy leg

Nuthatch another bird that only posed on the feeders

Coal Tit

Pheasant

Little Grebe, showed about 10 minutes after the WEBS counters left

Tufted Ducks

Goldfinch, splash of colour on a dull day

Coal Tit

Blue Tit without Gammy leg

Female Chaffinch

Not a bad couple of hours, as said having picked Margie up, not literally she hadn't drunk that much😂We returned home to a group of eight or nine Long-tailed Tits in the garden, managed to get the door open without spooking them and got a few pics, bit of sunlight would have helped!

Such a privilege to have them flitting about the garden!!!!
