Brownie Heaven

Well day off today for Two Root Canals at the dentist 20mins before leaving for the Surgery get a phone call dentist has phoned in sick!!! Bugger!! In order to cheer myself up decided to attempt the secret Brownie recipe gleaned from the Offspring at the weekend, due to the spur of the moment nature of the bake had to modify the recipe, luckily I usually have a stock of Green & Blacks excellent Organic Chocolate lying about so was able to use a mixture of 70% Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate, decided to replace, in deference to my dodgy teeth, the walnuts the kids used with Glace Cherries.

Dark & Milk Chocolate and Butter

Start To Melt

Melted

Cherries & White Chocolate

Whisk Eggs and sugar

Fold in Chocolate Mix

Gently, Gently fold in Flour and Cocoa

Bung in the Cherries/White Choc

Put In Tin

Completed!! In and out of the oven to check the wobble

Many thanks to Margie for her assistance, holding the sieve and completing the clearing up to the required standard and for not eating all the mixture before it left the bowl!!

At this point things went a bit wrong as they cooled there was a bit of a collapse and lets just say getting them out of the tin was a challenge but the end result was pretty awesome crunchy on the outside gooey in the middle, though the way they stuck to me teeth don't think leaving the walnuts out will make much difference to my teeth.

Collapse

Tin removal issues

The Gooey goodness!!
