Pulborough Brooks

Well after what seems Eons of Rain, a day without precipitation on Sunday prompted Margie and I to visit RSPB Pulborough Brooks, although they may have to rename it Pulborough Lakes if the weather continues like this!! Even though it didn't rain, it was grey and damp which is reflected in the quality of our pictures, well that's my excuse!! As is often the case most of the pics of  Birds are mine and the floods and  "interesting stuff" is by Margie!

Lake Pulborough

Think this footpath maybe shut!

Birdwise, most of the Wildfowl was distant, a small flock of Pochard was of interest a diving Duck that is rarely seen here. The highlight was a Firecrest, seen well but flitting about like a demon, so only managed one record shot. The edge of the Flood was being exploited by Meadow Pipits, Stonechats and Pied Wagtails! Plenty of Redwings and a couple of Fieldfares were also seen. Didn't see any Raptors at all presumably away looking for less soggy pastures!
