Quick Trip to Pett

After knackering myself out around Medmerry on Saturday, I decided a quick drive out to Pett Level to see the reported Purple Heron, it was mainly a clever ruse to get Margie to have a drive of the new motor!! After a smooth trip we arrived to find a small group of birders staring at some Tussocks of grass, who assured us the Purple Heron was in there somewhere and would put it's head up at some point!! Luckily there was a cracking male Marsh Harrier flying about which not only looked fantastic but every time it flew over the Purple Heron stuck it's head up to keep an eye on it, which was handy!!

There were also a few noisy Med Gulls and a couple of Little Egrets, but we didn't stay long in the cold breeze!

On arrival home we warmed up by tucking into a couple of the Gluten free and Organic Cherry and Hazelnut Brownies I made the day before!!

Think Brownie mix is the tastiest!! Though obviously you ain't supposed to eat raw cake mixture, though I've been doing it since I was six so bit late to worry about it now!!!

Nice and Squidgy!!
