Holiday in Scotland Day 8: Staying Local

After our mountaineering exploits yesterday, still buzzing from the Snow Buntings, we decided to stay local today, a lay in, a walk around Nairn, then back to base to watch the last day of Championship, the Mighty Whites slim chance of promotion were quickly dashed by Ipswich beating Huddersfield ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Well done to the Town, Margie's happy and not been rubbing in it at all!! Think the Tractor shaped cookies that I couldn't even eat was a step to far, especially as I would have been grace personified if it had been the other way round ๐Ÿ˜‚!! At time of writing we are in the playoff final so everything's crossed!!

After the match we headed to the local beach parking at the Kingsteps Car Park and having a walk around the Minister Pool then out onto the beach. Yellowhammers and Willow Warblers singing in the Car Park but the highlights were the Sandwich Terns plunging into the water and Sandmartins and Swallows in the Carpark!! A few pics below! It was a grey old day, that's my excuse for the pics and I'm sticking to it!!๐Ÿ˜‚ As ever Margie does the landscapes I do the birds!

Gorse, so much Gorse fantastic colour to the scenery

Grey and misty a bit different to the glorious sunshine we had enjoyed up to now
