Pulborough Brooks

Well after the Christmas excesses, it was time to head out for a bit of fresh air, Pulborough Brooks is always a favourite so Myself, Margie, my son Henry and his better half Rebekah  found ourselves in the car park about 10.30am, the car park was filling up, it seems everyone else in Sussex had decided on the same plan😢!!

The White Doves were in their usually place on the roof of the center, it was pretty quiet until we got to Fattengates, where various small birds were enjoying the seed put out, presumably by photographers!

White Dove on the roof, I don't usually bother with these but Rebekah likes em!😏

Margie continues to enjoy her new camera, may have shot myself in the foot with that one loads more pics to sort and edit😂 She is getting some good ones though, a few below!

A reflective moment for some of the White Doves

Robin

Winter Branches

We did the usual loop, visiting a few of the hides, pretty quiet except for the usual wildfowl, although we saw some Snipe, a Peregrine in the tree by the hanger and the Highland Cows put on a good show!

A few Snipe among the sleepy Wigeon

Kestrel

More Snipe and Wigeon

Peregrine

Difficult to get a decent shot through the branches and the light weren't the best! I know, excuses, excuses!

Highland Cows

Cheeky!

Nice to see a lot of Pintail, most too distant for pics but this one had a fly around!

This Buzzard blended in well

Teal

More Pintail action!

Lapwing

Greenfinch

Chaffinch

Redwing, a few Winter thrushes about but very flighty

Margie practising her superzoom with the Snipe

Rosehips

Margie also had a go at the Peregrine

Orange Fungi

Highland Cow

Think this is the same Robin, that features in our 2023 Calendar, was in the same place at any rate!

Lichen

Common Buzzard

Was distant so the superzoom earning it's keep

Another view of the flooded Brooks

So a nice enough walk around, though nothing very exciting except the Peregrine, couple more pics below digiscoped on me phone are a bit clearer!

Also did a short video of it not doing very much!
